Student Supports
Student Supports
Our Student Supports provide a network of services designed to support the whole student. Social workers, school psychologists, Tapestry, and Youth Cross Roads work alongside our schools to provide guidance, resources, and individualized support. Whether students need help navigating personal challenges, strengthening their social-emotional well-being, or connecting with community resources, our team is here to help.
Tapestry
The West40 TAPESTRY program provides general education students with an opportunity to achieve academic success. Using a family-centered approach, TAPESTRY Student Advocates meet students and their families where they are and walk further with them to increase positive engagement in school. Program benefits include one-to-one mentoring, social-emotional support, goal setting, and linking families to school/community resources.
Youth Crossroads
Youth Crossroads, Inc. Mental Health and Counseling services are available in all Morton school buildings during the school day and over the summer break. Our services help support youth and families who struggle with mental health or behavioral issues that impact their day-to-day functioning at home, at school, and in the community. Primary services provided in school include individual and group counseling. Support services for family counseling and case management are also available.
Our TeenReach After-school Program provides Morton students with a safe place after school to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, create meaningful relationships, and receive mentoring and support as they transition into adulthood. College visits, community service events, and field trips on days off and weekends add to the experience of the program.
Other services are available at Youth Crossroads’ main office in Berwyn and satellite office in Cicero including but not limited to: Workforce Development programs for youth ages 14 to 24, Youth Leadership Program for high school age youth, individual or family case management, parent and family mental health and counseling support, early childhood screenings, and food distributions.
